Distribution SwissEco Taxes

VAT and Hydrocarbon

The entire income from the taxes levied on hydrocarbon products and the rise in VAT will be distributed among the SwissEco Mobility partners on a pro rata basis (one-thousandths) based on the highest annual income from passenger ticketing in the five years prior to the launch of the SwissEco Mobility project.

The lump-sum income will remain unchanged for five years.

Reduction Public Subsidies

Public subsidies will decrease by 50%.

The new distribution model between the Confederation, the Cantons and the Communes will have to be defined and agreed between the parties.

Distribution SwissEcoPass revenues

The SwissEcoPass income will be distributed among the SwissEco Mobility partners on a pro rata basis (one-thousandths) based on the highest annual income from passenger ticketing in the five years prior to the launch of the SwissEco Mobility project.

The lump-sum income will remain unchanged for five years.

Distribution SwissHappyPass revenues

SwissHappyPass revenues will be distributed amongst the SwissEco Mobility partners according to the following rules:

1 Mobility Partner

100% of the SwissHappyPass 1-day travelcard
(CHF 30 /CHF 60)

5 Mobility Partners

20% of the SwissHappyPass 1-day travelcard per partner
(CHF 6 / CHF 12)

SwissEco Premium revenues

Every partner will also be able to offer its own SwissEco Premium services (e.g. 1st class, VIP, Priority Lane) and generate additional revenue over and above its regular daily services.

Investments

SwissEco Mobility Fair for ALL will generate significant extra user and visitor footfall for the SwissEco partner networks, which will have to offer quality products and services and ensure the safety of their facilities.

The financing of investments in this respect will be covered by the additional revenues generated by their activities.

Cable cars and navigation operators will be faced with huge structural and operational challenges in view of the substantial additional user numbers.

In order to accelerate the roll-out of investments, a one-time funding round during the first five years of the SwissEco Mobility may have to be considered by guaranteeing an interest-free federal capital loan.

Repayment of these loans could be spread over a period of 15 years.
