Switzerland’s residents will use a
SwissEcoPass or SwissHappyPass
Fewer new vehicle registrations
Transport is responsible for around 40% of the country’s CO2 emissions, or 14.8 million tonnes of CO2 yearly.
More than three-quarters of these are caused by passenger cars.
The SwissEco Mobility 2025 project will reduce by -15% CO2 emissions per vehicle (-392.73kg) and by -5% of new registrations (-2’618kg * 20’244 vehicles), i.e. a total of -2.0 million tonnes of CO2 less in the environment.
